What I Bring to the Team

Willingness to Learn

I’m always looking for ways to grow — whether it’s diving into a new platform, asking thoughtful questions, or learning from feedback. I believe curiosity and adaptability are essential in marketing, and I bring both to every project.

Creative Execution

I enjoy turning strategy into visuals and messaging that connect. From Canva designs to campaign copy, I focus on clarity, brand consistency, and thoughtful presentation.

Team-First Energy

I thrive in collaborative environments. Whether I’m contributing ideas, organizing the details, or stepping up to support others, I show up ready to help the team succeed.

The Places That Shaped Me

Enrollment Marketing Internship:

At USD, I joined a small but mighty marketing team focused on connecting prospective students to their college journey. I supported everything from email campaigns and content proofing to platform transitions — all with a deep focus on voice, clarity, and strategy.

During this internship, I:

  • Helped migrate marketing content from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to Slate

  • Drafted and proofed email communications for prospective students

  • Organized creative briefs and supported the team with brand-aligned visuals

  • Contributed to project workflows with a strong attention to detail and deadlines

More than anything, this role taught me how to balance creativity with structure — and how intentional marketing can shape big decisions in people’s lives.

Student Athlete & Athlete Mentor:

As a Division I swimmer, I learned early how to manage pressure, stay disciplined, and lead by example — both in and out of the pool. Balancing athletics with a full academic load taught me how to prioritize, communicate, and show up consistently, even on the hard days.

Through USD’s peer mentoring program, I supported incoming student-athletes as they adjusted to the demands of college life. I helped them stay accountable academically, shared tools for time management, and acted as a sounding board when things got overwhelming. These relationships challenged me to lead with empathy, build trust quickly, and communicate across different personalities and pressures.

This chapter shaped my resilience, built my leadership, and taught me how to support a team — skills I now carry into every project I work on.

Nannying

Being a nanny changed me more than I ever expected — not just personally, but professionally. It was the first time I truly understood what it means to be responsible for someone else, to lead with empathy, and to be relied on in real, everyday ways.

I had to learn how to be calm when things got chaotic, how to communicate clearly when emotions ran high, and how to show up — not just when it was easy, but when it was hard or inconvenient. It taught me patience, emotional intelligence, and how to adapt without losing my sense of self.

That experience shifted the way I carry myself as a professional. I’m more grounded, more thoughtful, and more human in the way I approach work. I don’t panic under pressure. I listen more closely. I ask better questions. And I understand that behind every project, client, or audience — there are people.

Nannying didn’t teach me how to write a campaign or build a strategy. But it shaped the kind of marketer I want to be: someone who leads with clarity, steadiness, and heart.
